THE STORY
The Path Behind the Blueprint
Natalie Robinson Bruner's career is the case study behind everything she teaches.
She started where impact is most personal: the classroom, teaching biology and chemistry. From there she moved into higher education administration — first guiding graduate-level STEM programs, then directing the STEM Gateway Program at the University of New Mexico, where she managed multi-million-dollar grants that helped more than 20,000 students build the skills to complete STEM degrees, restructured university systems, and shaped policy for under-resourced students. That work culminated in her first TEDx talk on opening STEM careers to the students who need them most.
Returning to her hometown of Miami, Natalie rose through nonprofit leadership: youth program director, then lead director, then Community Programs Director over women's health, economics, and youth programming, and ultimately Division Director at the YWCA South Florida — leading a multi-tiered division whose community and women's programming reached thousands across the region, and developing leaders who went on to accomplish great things. She later served as Director of Programs overseeing reentry services, mental health programming, and youth development — frontline leadership in some of the most demanding corners of human services, and the work behind her third TEDx talk arguing that recidivism is a design flaw we can fix.
Every promotion in that story was earned twice: once by doing the work, and once by making sure the right people saw it. Natalie turned that second discipline into a system — first as The Promotion Blueprint, her step-by-step guide to career advancement, and now as a complete suite of tools, courses, and coaching.
Today, as CEO and Principal Strategist of GladED Leadership Solutions, a strategic leadership-development consulting firm, she equips organizations across nonprofit, education, healthcare, and government sectors with leadership training, employee engagement strategy, and program evaluation — and equips individual professionals with the playbook to advance. She also leads Wealth Work, a nonprofit helping women of color build generational wealth, and is proud to raise her two sons in her hometown
